What does your business do? When and why did you join the Chamber?
The Brooklyn Marriott is a Full service Hotel that caters to Meetings, Banquets which range from 10 to 2000 guests. It has been awarded Marriott International’s Hotel of the Year, twice and also named Event Management Team of the Year. Its Mission Statement is to think as an owner act as a partner and you will exceed the Expectations of Everyone. Marriott has 376 guest rooms and the 4th largest ballroom in New York City.
The Marriott is a community Hotel. To be a part of the business community in Brooklyn, one needs to be a part of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, we joined the Chamber upon opening in 1998.
How did the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce help your business?
Marriott is a community Hotel. To be a part of the business community, one needs to be a part of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Being part of the Chamber has helped the Marriott introduce itself to the community and maintain its leading position throughout the years. We participate actively in the Chamber’s networking events. A large number of Marriott’s Catering group and Transient guests are Chamber Member businesses. On any given day you can visit our Archives restaurant and see several Business transactions taking place and then see the same faces in the Evening at a Local Reception or Gala Event. The Chamber helps keep us in the community’s mindset. We are proud to have hosted The Brooklyn Chamber’s Brooklyn Eats restaurant events as well as many of the High Profile Functions throughout the Borough.
