"The Chamber helps us to stay ahead of the game!” says TMI’s Kevin Li.
What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber?
Kevin Li is marketing manager of TMI Food Group, which manufactures Asian noodles, wrappers, dumplings and dim sum. Based in a new 80,000 sq. ft. facility in East Williamsburg, the company is celebrating 20 years in business in 2009: “Our products are distributed in supermarkets, restaurants, casinos and country clubs across the U.S. as well as in overseas markets such as Puerto Rico, Aruba, the Bahamas, Canada and Russia.
We have been Members of the Chamber since September 2004, but actually have just started to get more involved recently.”
How has the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce assisted your business?
“Through its Brooklyn Goes Global program, the Brooklyn Chamber provides us with technical assistance in reaching export markets and helps to connect us to potential buyers through various trade events. The Chamber’s seminars and panel discussions help to keep us informed of new government policies, development opportunities and community events. We received exposure as the proud recipients of the Economic Impact Award at the 2007 Building Brooklyn Awards™ for our new manufacturing facility in East Williamsburg. The Chamber helps us to stay ahead of the game!”
