Ceylon Frett says Chamber helped his business get off the hook
What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Chamber?
Cortel Business Solutions, Inc., established in 1972 as a regional full service telecom company, has grown to be a worldwide force in the marketplace with specialization in Key and PBX phone systems, VOIP Solutions, Call Center Applications, LAN and WAN data networks, as well as Local and Long Distance Servicing, Internet Access, Infrastructure Cabling and Security Systems. Cortel has been a proud member of the Chamber since 2001. Some of our key accounts are Chamber Members and our goal is to continue to develop strong relationships within Brooklyn’s business community.
How did the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce help your business?
The Chamber has helped our business make contacts through networking via events and committees, and through event sponsorship. In June 2003, Cortel sponsored the Chamber’s “Business After Hours” monthly networking event. This event provided a high visibility platform for us to showcase our products and services. Any time you get 80 company representatives in a room focused on networking, connections are bound to be made. We have since assisted a number of Chamber Members with their communications infrastructure including the Flatbush, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Cross Island YMCAs, Active Transport Messenger Service, and we also provided the phone system for the Brooklyn Chamber’s new office at 25 Elm Place.
