|  | BKLYN DESIGNS™ is New York's newest and most talked-about design show. Held annually in DUMBO, Brooklyn, the show is sponsored by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. The show features jury-selected Brooklyn-based designers and manufacturers of contemporary furnishings including furniture, lighting, linens, rugs, and decorative accessories for home, office or garden.
Premiering in the spring of 2003, BKLYN DESIGNS™ was an exciting success. Each year has brought new successes and elements to the show, such as ever-increasing consumer, trade and media attendance from across the country, expanding to multiple locations starting in 2004, the addition of satellite events across the downtown area in 2006, and for the fifth anniversary show in 2007, the debut of BKLYN DESIGNS +, a curated design mart for small accessories made in Brooklyn. The growth of the show continued in 2008 with 6,500 attendees viewing the designs of 70 juried exhibitors.
Part of Brooklyn Goes Global, the Brooklyn Chamber's targeted marketing assistance program for Brooklyn-based manufacturers, BKLYN DESIGNS™ promotes the furniture manufacturing industry in Brooklyn through its annual trade show, its online marketing support through brooklyndesigns.net, and its export assistance services. - - - - - - - -
