Welcome to the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. And thanks for visiting ibrooklyn.com – it’s a great way to get to know the Chamber. It’s also – in our humble opinion – a good way to learn how to maximize your Chamber membership and get all kinds of information about our favorite place on earth.
As New York City’s largest chamber of commerce, we are constantly looking for ways to promote, support and advocate on behalf of our Members and the borough. Our mission is to attract new investment to Brooklyn and to improve local business conditions and the quality of life in our borough.
The ibrooklyn.com Web site helps to support our mission by providing 24/7 access to the tools and features that help promote Brooklyn and our Members – from the "About Brooklyn" section with data and information about our borough, to our "Member Success Stories" featured on the home page, our online Membership Directory and our Member-to-Member Discounts Program.
In February 2005, we made changes to the content structure of ibrooklyn.com. We believe these changes will help visitors find the information they need quickly and easily. Additionally, we have installed new database software that we are integrating with certain functions on ibrooklyn.com to enhance online services, including the Membership Directory, new "Members Only" features and more.
In the “Member Promotion” area of ibrooklyn.com, learn about the exclusive networking and promotional benefits that come with Chamber membership. Visit the "Business Support" area to access information about the services and resources of the Chamber and its partners, available to all businesses in Brooklyn. Review our “Chamber Advocacy” area to learn about the Chamber’s legislative agenda on regional and federal issues and how you can get involved. Explore "About Brooklyn" for information and resources about doing business, working and living in Brooklyn. And, be sure to check out the different event calendars in our "News & Events" section to keep up with what’s going on at the Chamber and all around the borough.
Our "Members Only" section allows Chamber Members to renew their memberships online, submit promotional offers, download the Chamber Member logo for use on their promotional materials, and much more.
We are grateful to the Brooklyn delegation of the New York City Council for their support of many of the Chamber’s economic development initiatives and for helping us to build ibrooklyn.com. Additional thanks go to several talented Chamber Members who devoted their time and expertise to creating this award-winning site: HUGE LLC for the design; Pure Source for the programming; Planetmouse Inc. for the marketing consulting; and, Community Cartography (CCI) for the interactive maps for the previous iteration of "Brooklyn Eats Online" and the "Brooklyn Maps and Data" section.
If you have any questions, suggestions or comments about ibrooklyn.com, please contact us. We would like to hear from you.
Thank you for your support of Brooklyn and of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
Regards,
