The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and its Real Estate & Development Committee present Building Brooklyn Awards™, an annual event that recognizes recently completed new and renovation construction projects that enrich Brooklyn’s neighborhoods and economy. Building Brooklyn Awards (BBA) also honors individuals who have made significant contributions toward enhancing the business conditions and economic climate of Brooklyn.
The tenth anniversary Building Brooklyn Awards ceremony and cocktail reception will be held Thursday, July 15, 2010, and will return to Stage 6 at Steiner Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Call for Nominations! The Chamber is now accepting nominations for built projects that will be judged by an independent panel of architects, city planners, economic development experts and business leaders on specific criteria, including design excellence and innovation, economic impact, sustainability, urban context/design, contribution to neighborhood and "Brooklyn-ness."
Nomination forms are due Monday, February 22, 2010, and may be downloaded by clicking here.
Projects nominated last year that were not selected for an award may be re-submitted for consideration. All projects must have received a permanent or temporary Certificate of Occupancy on or before December 31, 2009.
