GOOD HELP is the free, business-driven staffing and employment service developed and managed by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Workforce Development program. Our goal is to help small businesses throughout the borough find, hire and retain qualified employees. In turn, we also assist unemployed Brooklynites in obtaining quality employment.
We do all of the following at no cost to your business:
- Work with employers to identify job openings and specific qualifications.
- Assist in finding both full- and part-time employees.
- Link a network of non-profit training and placement agencies with the business community.
- Screen potential employees for the best "match"
- Test clerical candidates for their ability to handle a wide variety of job related situations and for their proficiency in various computer applications.
- Check the references of all recommended candidates.
- Follow up on placements to help continue positive results.
What employers should do:
- Notify GOOD HELP as soon as possible of job openings.
- Contact us with as much information as possible; job title, salary, hours, benefits, special skills, etc.
Contact GOOD HELP at 718-875-1000 ext. 108 to discuss implementing specific training for future needs.
