The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's voluntary committees offer Members the opportunity to contribute directly to the work of the Chamber and to interact with fellow Chamber Members who share common interests. Committee participation is a great way for Members to network, share ideas and further the Chamber’s objectives for Brooklyn businesses and the borough through its promotion, support and advocacy initiatives.

Advocates on behalf of the Brooklyn business community about issues that will further the economic and business climate of the borough. Also works to enhance the rapport between Brooklyn Chamber Members and public officials.
Marketing & Membership Chair: Lisa Bing, Bing Consulting Group, Inc.
Staff: Rosalie Rance
Develops strategies and practical actions to grow Chamber membership and increase Member retention through monitoring of marketing and business trends and considering the impact of doing business in Brooklyn.
Minority and Women Business Owners Co-chairs: Samuel Dunston, National Allotment Insurance Phyllis White-Thorne, Con Edison Concetta LoPresti Mazzella, Citibank, N.A.

Addresses the specific needs of minority and women business owners including procurement, networking and advocacy.

Works to identify boroughwide opportunities for business attraction and retention, and hosts the annual “Building Brooklyn Awards™” as a fundraising event to support the Chamber’s activities in this area.
