| | The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce holds its Annual Membership Meeting & Luncheon each fall to vote for new directors and officers, while presenting a keynote address from distinguished guests such as New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (2004), New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. (2005), New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn (2006), and in 2007, New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
The Annual Membership Meeting is one of the most popular networking events of the year bringing a representative cross section of Members together. For the past few years this event had been held at the beautiful Palm House at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which it has outgrown. The 2006 Meeting was held at Gargiulo's Restaurant in Coney Island. For the 2007 Annual Meeting, the Chamber hosted 350 attendees at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The Chamber's 2008 Annual Meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday, September 24, at St. Francis College followed by a 90th Anniversary Celebration at Brooklyn Historical Society. > read more
