|  | The Dinner Dance, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's annual end-of-the-year bash, kicks off with a fantastic cocktail reception followed by an awards presentation honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the economic development of Brooklyn and to the growth of businesses in our borough. The Brooklyn Chamber welcomes nominations from its Members.
The 2003 honorees were Hon. Joseph R. Lentol, New York State Assembly (Leadership and Public Service), Gilbert Rivera, Founder, AM&G Waterproofing, LLC (Entrepreneur of the Year) and Antonia Yuille Williams, director, Con Edison Public Affairs (Corporate Citizen of the Year). In 2004, the honorees were Pamela Adamo, vice president of public affairs, KeySpan Corporation (Corporate Citizen of the Year), Larry and Christian Vivola, partners, Fratelli Ravioli (Entrepreneurs of the Year) and Robert W. Walsh, Commissioner, New York City Department of Small Business Services (Leadership and Public Service). The 2005 honorees were Phil Stenger, Commerce Bank (Corporate Citizen of the Year); Stephen K. Hindy, Brooklyn Brewery (Entrepreneur of the Year); and Hon. Nydia Velázquez, U.S. House of Representatives (Leadership and Public Service).
In 2006, the Chamber honored former Brooklyn Chamber President Kenneth Adams, president and CEO, The Business Council of New York State, Inc. Last year for its 90th Annual Dinner Dance, the Chamber returned to Mill Basin and the El Caribe Country Club to honor Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz as well as recognize its past Board chairs. > read more
