What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce?
Neil Levin and his son Stephen operate a family-owned Web site development company based in Long Island City, Queens: “We do Web design, hosting, maintenance, online marketing as well as e-commerce and content management solutions and database-driven projects for the Web. Our clients are small businesses all the way up to publicly traded companies and nonprofits. For the past ten years, we’ve worked on 350 projects across 100 industries in the Tri-state area.
We were looking to expand our business in Brooklyn. Chamber Member colleagues suggested we join the Chamber, which we did in June 2004.”

How has your Brooklyn Chamber membership assisted your business?
At a Five-Borough Chamber Networking Event, I ran into two old acquaintances. I learned one of them was with a new firm that needed help with some Web site issues. Long story short, we closed on the contract to redesign their Web site three weeks later. It's about being in the room. You have to get to these events, there's a lot of opportunity. The Chamber’s networking events and trade shows help to contribute to the exposure of our name and brand. (My success at this event was also featured in an article in Crain's!) The Chamber’s staff also makes the room smaller for us at these events. We can count a number of fellow Members as clients including Warren Bell of Bagels by Bell and Karen Auster of auster*events. We feel strongly about getting involved at the Chamber and look forward to continuing our relationship.
