What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber?
We are a manufacturer and exporter of bagels and bialys both nationally and globally. We joined the Brooklyn Chamber in 1998 to get assistance in growing our business.

How did the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce help your business?
Since joining the Chamber in 1998, we have built up our business considerably. With the assistance of Brooklyn Goes Global, the Chamber’s department dedicated to helping Brooklyn manufacturers sell their products globally, I attained matching funds from the federal government to help market my bagels in Japan. The program took off soon after and is now a major source of revenue for my company.
We now ship bagels to Japan and Israel, and are currently in negotiations with companies in France and Austria. We also are in the process of introducing flavored bagels onto the national market here in the US. All this was made possible by the Chamber’s assistance.
Since joining the Chamber, I have won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, for which the Chamber nominated me. Overall, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce has been an integral part of my success story.
