What does your business do? When and Why did you join the Brooklyn Chamber?

Greg Murjani started his rubbish removal business in 1993, handling demolition, excavations and carter container bobcat services: “We grew by diversifying our services, including cleaning houses, offices and backyards, and preparing properties for sale for real estate clients. We have 10 trucks and 22 employees. With the success of 1-800 Mr. Rubbish, my business partner Albert Demange and I opened Brooklyn Burger Bar in Park Slope in Dec. 2006. I also am involved in a new Park Slope hotel due to open by 2009. Trash has been very good to us!

I joined the Chamber in 1997, after handling a job for then president Kenneth Adams who introduced me to the Chamber’s great services and resources.”

How has your Brooklyn Chamber membership assisted your business?

"The Chamber has been instrumental in helping my business. The Chamber’s Business After Hours, which I enjoy greatly, has helped me make valuable contacts over the years. The Chamber promoted my business through its newspaper, Brooklyn’s Progress. Through Chamber staff referrals, I’ve been able to secure clients such as the contract with the Brooklyn Public Library. We help in the removal and transfer of books and equipment during library renovations at local branches. Becoming a Member was the best move I ever made. If it were not for the Chamber's help, I would not be where I am now."
