Brooklyn's Progress October 2003

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s monthly networking events are great ways to meet other Members, make new business contacts, and have fun along the way. On September 24, 2003, the Business After Hours took Members afloat on New York Water Taxi boats, where Brooklyn Chamber Members, staff and their friends were able to enjoy some great lite fare and beverages aboard the fleet. Members toured as far north as 59th St, on the East River side of Manhattan, and as far south as Bay Ridge in Brooklyn.
There was a clear, blue sky and a fall-like breeze, as everyone gathered on the Fulton Ferry Landing in Brooklyn. And, in addition to the great hospitality of the host, New York Water Taxi, Mark Thompson -- owner of the Ice Cream Factory, gave guests $1.50 cones, and New York Sketches was on hand to draw caricatures of any willing muse.
Many thanks go out to New York Water Taxi for making the September Business After Hours event such a success -- and a whole lot of fun! Also, thanks to Mark Thompson of the Ice Cream Factory, and Henoch Getz and Rebecca Miller of New York Sketches for dontaing their incredible talents. |
