Chamber President Receives Honor back to Brooklyn's Progress Online

Brooklyn's Progress
November 2001

Kenneth Adams, president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, was recently honored by the Independent Neighborhood Democrats for his public service. At IND’s 13th Annual Dinner-Dance on November 2 at the Rex Manor, Alida Seidel, president of IND, presented Adams with the organization’s Community Service Award. During her presentation she said, “I was tired after reading his resume.” Adams has recognized for his hard work in helping to make Brooklyn a most desirable area for business in New York City. Other honorees were: Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, the recipient of IND’s Public Service Award for embodying the true meaning of public service with her genuine concern and commitment to the improvement of the quality of life for her constituents; the IND award went to District Leader Elizabeth Rose Daly who has worked tirelessly for the good of IND; and the Good Neighbor Award was presented to Dean Rasinya, an involved, committed resident of Bay Ridge. IND is a democratic club representing the 52nd Assembly District. Under the leadership of Assemblywoman Joan Millman, IND has thrived, succeeded and is stronger than ever.
