Brooklyn Chamber Member Erica Kalick of Erica’s Rugelach & Baking Co., was featured in Crain’s New York Business as one of New York’s Top Entrepreneurs.

Ms. Kalick was selected for mixing her fond memories of her great-aunt’s rugelach with her own recipes and a hefty dash of marketing to create a company that supplies some of the city’s leading gourmet shops.  In addition to her business, Ms. Kalick is a published writer and classical guitarist.  She has taught music theory and guitar, both privately and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music for many years.  She is married to Robert Secrist, an internationally recognized classical virtuoso and recording artist.  

The award recipients were chosen by a panel of Crain’s editors from scores of nominations submitted by readers and the newspaper’s own staff members.  Ms. Kalick was featured in the Aug. 11, 2003, issue of Crain’s New York Business.
