Brooklyn's Progress December 2001
The Brooklyn Cyclones announced that season tickets for all 38 home games of the 2002 season went on sale starting Tuesday, December 11th. Fans wishing to secure tickets to catch the defending New York-Penn League Champions can do so by calling 718-449-TIXS (8497) or visiting www.brooklyncyclones.com to download the order form. Ticket prices will not increase from last year: field box at $380 per seat, box at $304 per seat and field grandstand at $266 per seat ($10, $8 and $7 per game respectively). "We sold out nearly every game last year and renewal rates on season tickets have been high, but we still have season tickets available for anyone wanting to secure seats," said Steve Cohen, general manager of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Proving to be one of the hottest tickets in town, last year the Cyclones averaged 7,821 fans a night and set the single season attendance record for a class-A short season team at 289,381. The Brooklyn Cyclones are the class-A affiliate of the New York Mets. In their inaugural season, they won the New York-Penn League Championship, and set the all-time Short Season Class-A record for attendance in a single year. The team plays at KeySpan Park, the new 7,500-seat stadium in Coney Island. Ticket information is available by calling 718-449-TIXS (8497), or by visiting the team's website at www.brooklyncyclones.com. |
