  Highlights of the 2001 Annual Meeting back to Brooklyn's Progress Online

The Boy Scouts of America presented the Colors during the Chamber’s 2001 Annual Membership Meeting & Cocktail Reception. Major support for the event was underwritten by Time Warner Cable. Event sponsors were: Citibank, Con Edison, Health Plus, KeySpan Corporation, and Pfizer, Verizon. Event benefactors were the Brooklyn Cyclones and Health Pass. Trade Show Exhibitors included: All State Promotion, American Express, Axa Advisors, Axel Protection, Broadview Networks, Brooklyn Baseball, Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts, Con Edison, Courier-Life Publications, Focus Marketing, Four Eyes Productions, Friedman, Alpren & Green, Galen Productions, Health Pass, Health Plus, Holiday Inn JFK, iBrooklyn.com, Industrial Printers, Imprint Cartridge Works, Managed Care Resolution, Masterpiece Studios, Newsday Marketeer, Nu-Way Fuel, Prudential Securities, Shan-gri La, Starlight International, Sunrise Assisted Living, Super Agency, Volpe/LaMontagne, and Webline Design. Ambassador Charles Gargano (left), Chairman & CEO of the Empire State Development Corporation was the keynote speaker at the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting & Cocktail Reception on November 20 at the New York Marriott Brooklyn. Next to the Ambassador is Phil Stenger of Citibank, Brooklyn Borough President Howard Golden; and David Manning, Sr. Vice President-Public Affairs for KeySpan Corporation (he introduced Ambassador Gargano). All board members were re-elected and new board members elected that evening were: Lisa Bing of Bing Consulting; Susan Doban of Susan Doban Architect P.C.; Colvin Grannum of Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corp.; Ken Hochman of American Media Concepts, Inc.; and Dennis Vourderis of Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park. The Alliance Board of Directors was also re-elected during the meeting.
