Brooklyn's Progress
February/March 2007

BY HAROLD EGELN

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce celebrated Black History Month 2007 at the Akwaaba Mansion in Bedford-Stuyvesant by honoring community heroes Albert C. Wiltshire, Vice President of Government Relations, KeySpan Energy Corporation  and the Bridge Street Development Corporation led by President and CEO Rhonda Lewis.

The Chamber and its Minority and Women's Business Owners Committee, in partnership with Weeksville Heritage Center, feted the honorees with a cocktail reception held Feb. 27.   Presiding over the celebration ceremony were Mark Kessler, Interim President, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Pamela Green, Executive Director, Weeksville Heritage Center. The event was sponsored by Con Edison, Pfizer Inc. and Verizon Communications. The celebration was catered by Shepsmeri Catering with Chef Oliver.
