The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2008 Building Brooklyn Awards™ (BBA) through Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. This is the 8th edition of this annual real estate industry event, which recognizes recently completed construction and renovation projects that enrich Brooklyn’s neighborhoods and economy.

Eligible projects should have received a Certificate of Occupancy or Temporary Certificate of Occupancy on or prior to Dec. 31, 2007. Projects nominated for last year’s Building Brooklyn Awards that were not chosen may be re-submitted for consideration. All nominations must be postmarked or received at the Brooklyn Chamber’s office no later than Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.

This spring a panel of architects, city planners, economic development experts and business leaders will convene to select the 2008 award recipients. The Building Brooklyn Awards ceremony and cocktail reception will take place later in the summer at a location to be determined.
