Brooklyn's Progress March 2004
By Mack Tham
The city, state and federal governments have various business incentive programs to enhance economic development by spurring companies to make business investments, create and retain jobs, thus promoting neighborhood commercial activity and strengthening Brooklyn’s small business economy.
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, together with city-sponsored Downtown Brooklyn Connected will present a seminar to familiarize Brooklyn businesses with the broad array of incentive programs available to small businesses within New York City. This seminar will also target real estate brokers to help them recognize incentive programs and to know when to direct businesses to the appropriate incentive programs.
This seminar will be helpful to businesses wanting to relocate, expand or move in Brooklyn. Businesses wanting to make improvements, renovate or construct a building, lower operating and energy cost, attract and train employees and seek financial assistance will also find this seminar informative. Attendees will have a chance to visit the pre-built and pre-wired space within the area of DUMBO.
Getting connected to the right office space in Brooklyn can be difficult – finding the right space at an affordable price can be near impossible. Hi-technology and creative companies seeking conveniently located space need search no further than the Downtown Brooklyn Connected district.
This free breakfast seminar will be held on March 22, 2004 from 9 to 11 a.m. at 55 Washington, #802 in DUMBO. If you are interested, please contact Mack Tham at (718) 875-1000, ext. 142 no later than March 15, 2004. |
