  BAM Celebrates Brooklyn's Visual Arts Community by Participating in theSONYA Spring 2003 Group Show back to Brooklyn's Progress Online

SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists) is a non-profit organization that enlivens the art community by creating an infrastructure for Brooklyn artists to get their work known by the public as well as the art community. SONYA Group Show is curated by Danny Simmons, artist, gallery owner, and BAM Trustee. (For more information about SONYA, visit http://www.sonyany.com/.)

Featured artists at BAM include Ellsworth Ausby, Yuka Hirata-Blackshear, Mary Chang, Philippe Dollo, Leon Golomb, Anders Knutsson, D. Lammie-Hanson, Carolyn Mae Lassiter, Alan Rosner, GG Stankiewicz, Lawrence Terry, and Anthony DiMaggio.

From March 18 through April 24, extraordinary artists will be presenting at the following Fort Greene/Clinton Hill venues:

BAM Leonard Natman Room, 30 Lafayette Ave. Open daily, 4p.m.-10 p.m. 

101 Lafayette Avenue Gallery, South Oxford St. Open Saturdays and Sundays, 2
p.m.-6p.m. 

The Corridor Gallery, 334 Grand Ave. Open Saturdays, 1 p.m.-6p.m. or by appointment, 718.638.8416. 

The SONYA Spring 2003 Group Show is part of the BAMart initiative to support local art groups.
