Brooklyn's Progress June 2004
The Food Manufacturers Only (FMO) program through the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Brooklyn Goes Global (BGG) initiative has designed a “Brooklyn Goes Global Pavilion” in conjunction with the 50th Annual Summer International Fancy Food & Confections Show organizers, which will take place June 27 through 29.
According to Steve Kaplansky, marketing consultant for Brooklyn Goes Global, “We are very proud of this initiative as not only does it make great business sense, it is also an affordable way for Brooklyn businesses to showcase front and center with other global businesses.”
Brooklyn exhibitors include Chamber Members: Falcone’s Cookieland; Tower Isles Frozen Foods, Inc.; King of The Sea and Erica’s Rugelach and Baking, Co.
The International Fancy Food Show is a worldwide gathering of food companies and provides an opportunity for manufacturers to showcase products with tastings and displays. Food manufacturers from 50 countries will participate. It is a direct way to meet and greet buyers of food store chains, mom and pops, gourmet suppliers, gift stores and other specialty shops. It also provides an opportunity for international buyers to see, touch and taste the latest products and brands which will ultimately end up on store shelves, in gift baskets and on consumers’ tables within months of the show, during the end of year holiday season and beyond.
The Summer International Fancy Food & Confections Show will take place at the Jacob K. Davits Convention Center, 655 W. 34th St. in Manhattan. In celebration of its milestone year, show hours have been extended, hours are: Sunday and Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance, and $60 at the door.
Limited space is available to Brooklyn Chamber Members who wish to exhibit with BGG. For more information contact Steve Kaplansky at 718-875-1000, ext. 104. |
