Brooklyn's Progress June/July 2005
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s monthly networking events are great ways to meet other Members, make new business contacts and have a great time along the way.
On May 11, more than 150 Brooklyn Chamber Members and friends gathered for a wonderful evening of networking while enjoying breathtaking views of the ocean atop one of Brooklyn’s luxury residences…Oceana Condominium and Club in Brighton Beach for the Chamber’s monthly Business After Hours (BAH).
Chamber Members had the opportunity to experience firsthand one of Muss Development’s prize projects…Oceana Condominium and Club penthouse. Jason Muss, Vice President, welcomed everyone to Oceana and gave a heartfelt thank you to the Brooklyn Chamber for its continued support of the Brooklyn business community. The Chamber’s Membership Director Darryl Hollon welcomed the evening’s guests, which included several new Chamber Members attending their first BAH. Darryl encouraged Chamber Members to connect with one another as well as use the Chamber’s resources to help their individual businesses. As the evening came to a close, Jason Muss awarded the evening’s door prize sponsored by Muss – a gift certificate to Amazon.com. Click here to view photos from the event.

Brooklyn Brewery Serves Up Annual BAH On April 13, more than 200 Brooklyn Chamber Members and friends ventured to the infamous Brewers Row in Williamsburg, for the Chamber’s monthly BAH. One of the most popular BAHs every year, The Brooklyn Brewery provided a wonderful atmosphere for fun, networking, great food and great beer.
As part of the festivities, Brooklyn Chamber historian Joe Stile entertained the audience with Brooklyn brewery trivia (for example, did you know the original breweries in Brooklyn were Schaefer, Rheingold, Schlitz, and Pabst-Blue Ribbon?). The evening was capped with the traditional door prize presentation. The sponsor of the evening's event, Steven Denes, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Atlantis Health Plan, presented one of the evening’s guests with an assortment of Atlantis Health Plan goodies.
