Brooklyn's Progress June/July 2007
BY HAROLD EGELN
For the second year in a row, the famed Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg hosted a jam-packed Brooklyn After Hours networking party with a Member's trade showcase by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
The Brooklyn Brewery, famous for its craft brewed beer, was co-founded in 1987 by Stephen Hindy, president. Located at 79 North 11th St., the brewery features a store, community events and Saturday tours. Welcoming the Chamber was Eric Ottaway, general manager, who was saluted by Mark Kessler, interim president of the Chamber.
The popular Chamber networking event, which drew a large crowd on the sunny evening of Apr. 19, was sponsored this year by HIP Health Plan of New York. HIP proudly serves small businesses with some of the most affordable HMO and EPO plans in the area, with a full suite of health plans. It offers low cost, high quality care and over 43,000 provider locations in the metro region.
