Brooklyn's Progress June/July 2008
BY JILL D’AMICO
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce partnered with the DUMBO Improvement District recently to hold an informational seminar called, "How to 'Green' Your Business." Attendees learned about various techniques used to make their business more “green,” learned about the advantages – both financial and environmental – to going green, and had a chance to ask their specific questions to Amy Coffman of Terrapin Bright Green, who presented the program.
The seminar also explained the LEED system. Short for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, this green building rating system is considered the benchmark of responsible building and design.
