Breathing- A Necessary Element of Life back to Brooklyn's Progress Online

Brooklyn's Progress
July 2002

Outdoor air pollution is all around us. We hear the danger levels on the news, but even more important than the outside air is the air we breathe inside. The air we breathe most of our day. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said in a statement to the U.S. Senate in 1995. “Indoor air pollution is our nation’s number one environmental health concern.” And a good many of us spend 90 percent of our time indoors, particularly during the winter months. During the energy crisis of the 1970’s Americans sealed their homes with better windows, insulation and moldings. Office buildings have windows that don’t open, allowing stale air to circulate over and over without ever being “cleaned.” We’ve effectively kept the outside air from coming inside and, consequently; we’ve created structures that cannot “breathe.” Our homes are filled with organic chemicals from paints, cleaners, glues, pressed board furniture, pesticides, cosmetics, and of course, cigarette smoke. One of the worst offenders is formaldehyde, which can be found in fiberboard, particleboard, carpets, drapes and foam insulation. These chemicals become trapped in our house and in the air our family and we breathe every day! Then, each of us sheds about 10 pounds of skin each year and we breathe that in also. We always say we hope you like the person you’re living with because you will be breathing in their dead skin cells. Faced with all these pollutants it’s not surprising the EPA says it’s prudent to have an air purification system in your house. How many people do you personally know that suffer from one or more of the following: Eye irritations Difficulty breathing Skin Irritations Frequent headaches Frequent Colds and Viruses Asthma AllergiesStuffy nose All of these symptoms and more may be connected to the air we are breathing in our homes, school and work environment. To be effective, air purifiers must have a system that “attacks” all three of these major components of indoor air pollution, which are: Particulates – dust, pollen, tobacco smoke, dander Biological – mold spores, dust mites, bacteria, viruses, fungi Gas – ammonia, benzene, acetone, naphthalene, cyanide The AirSource 3000 indoor air purification system is brand new to the market; this system uses a patent-pending technology to effectively attack the three major types of indoor air pollution. It’s only 14 inches high and looks more like an avant-garde sculpture than an appliance, but it packs a wallop. AirSource 3000 costs $699, requiring only a $39 cartridge change yearly. But it works without a filter so the cost of changing one disappears. Also air filters do not work in all areas of indoor air pollution they filter they do not purify. You can place it in a home or office, plug it in and it can purify the air in an area up to 3,000 square feet. We offer quality service and education so if you want to start your own distributorship we can help you too. We also offer a three-day trial period free of charge for AirSource 3000. People can place it in their home or office and be the sole judge to see if this product works and makes a difference for them.
