Brooklyn's Progress September 2001
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce’s Virtual Catalog, BrooklynMade, which aims to promote manufacturers utilizing the resources of iBrooklyn, is progressing well. So far, 16 Chamber Members who are manufacturers already boast online catalogs complete with their company information and logo, specific product pictures and details, as well as other important logistical information such as shipping and packaging. These catalogs can be visited by logging on to www.iBrooklyn.com/brooklynmmade. Henok Assefa, Assistant Director of iBrooklyn, and Mariëlle Krul, Project Coordinator of BrooklynMade, plan on launching BrooklynMade within a few weeks. Krul strongly believes that "BrooklynMade will function as an additional marketing tool for Brooklyn-based manufacturers. Right now, iBrooklyn serves up over 3,500 weekly visitors, all potential viewers and buyers for BrooklynMade products." If you are a Brooklyn-based manufacturer and you would like to find out how you can get involved in this project, contact Henok Assefa at hassefa@BrooklynChamber.com. |
