Q&A provided by 10E20 Web Design
What does your business do?
10E20 Web Design was founded by me, Chris Winfield and my partner, Danielle Lanzillo (our Creative Director) with the mission of arming small businesses with the tools needed to succeed on the internet. From website design and domain registration to web hosting and e-commerce solutions and even marketing and PR offerings, we help a business leverage technology to improve productivity, increase revenue and reduce costs.
What sets 10E20 apart from the hundreds of other local web design firms?
The short answer is, there are no other web design and development firms that can offer high-quality design in addition to effective marketing solutions. When we started 10E20, we wanted small business owners to have one phone number to call with all of their web-related questions and needs. We realized that designing a website can be a bit intimidating so we always wanted our clients to be 100 percent comfortable with us – they know that we are here for them at anytime, to help them with anything. We basically become another employee for them – at a fraction of the cost.
Above all else, we realized a business can be made or broken by its visibility to the online community, bottom line – if they can’t find you, they can’t buy from you. According to research, 85 percent of all web traffic is driven directly from search engines like Google and Yahoo. The key is getting your website to the top of the search results every time and we know how to do that.
Therefore, search engine optimization is not only a primary focus, but it is a function we can perform literally better than anyone else in our market space. We optimize our client's websites so they are guaranteed a top 10 ranking whenever general terms (related to their products or services) are entered into a search engine. The higher you come up, the more people are going to see you – which means more customers. Our clients typically see major increases in web traffic and resulting revenue. In addition to online marketing, we go the extra mile and employ a PR Director who can design an offline media campaign to ensure a company remains visible to its core audience of potential customers.
What are some of your latest projects?
While we cater to all types of small businesses (from real estate to retail to software), we have recently developed a niche for designing and marketing websites for local artists and entertainment projects. We are currently developing a website and offline marketing materials for an upcoming Broadway show called Mob Hits: The Show, based on the music from the remarkably popular Mob Hits CDs. We have also recently completed work for the best-selling author of A Mouthful of Air, Amy Koppelman and HASE Films, whose Living as Legends documentary is garnering positive buzz and is touring the festival circuit.
How have you benefited from the Chamber?
While we have been Members for merely three months, we have already made contact with other area businesses looking to get noticed and do business on the internet. Through certain contacts we have made, our business has grown enough to employ a talented team of designers, programmers and search engine optimization specialists from around the country and the world, including offices in California, New Jersey, India and even Russia.
