Obesity is an epidemic that impacts over nine million Americans. More and more people who are affected by obesity are seeking to learn about surgical weight reduction. New York Methodist Hospital offers regular Surgical Weight Reduction Information Seminar and Support Group sessions. During the first 30 minutes of the seminar, a surgeon will conduct an information session for individuals who are interested in learning about the surgery. A 90-minute support group meeting open to pre- and post-operative patients will follow the information session.

Sessions will be held on the following Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.: January 13, February 10, March 10; and on the following Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30: January 28, February 25, March 25.
