  Chamber President New Chair of Chamber Alliance

Kenneth Adams, president of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, has become chairman for the Chamber Alliance of New York State (CANYS). Adams succeeds Ray San Fratello, former president of the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce.

Adams has led the Brooklyn Chamber for eight years. Previously, he served as the director of the MetroTech Business Improvement District in Downtown Brooklyn. He was also the founding Executive Director of New York Cares, which he ran from 1988 to 1994.

Kenneth grew up in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Middlebury College, where he received bachelor's and master's degrees.

He lives with his wife Diana and daughters, Rose and Ginger, in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.

Adams will head up the 84-member CANYS, which is an association of chamber executives from New York's local and regional chambers of commerce committed to providing professional development opportunities for member executives ands leveraging the power of chambers to promote state-government policies that will improve New York's business climate. CANYS is affiliated with, and administered by, The Business Council of New York State.
