Mixing It Up at the Seashore
Aquarium plays host to Five-Borough event
BY JILL SHEEHY
The seventh Five-Borough Chamber Networking Event was held on Jun. 20 at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island. The picture-perfect evening was attended by over 350 people, and lived up to its billing as “the” Chamber Member networking event of the year. Click here to view photos from the event.
This event was presented by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and New Bronx chambers of commerce. This was the second turn for Brooklyn to host the event.
Each chamber sponsored a gift basket at the event. The winner of the Brooklyn Chamber basket was Capucine Bourcart of the European-American Business Organization who was congratulated by event co-sponsor Atlantis Health Plan Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Steve Denes and Brooklyn Chamber Interim President Mark Kessler.
The seaside setting was truly unique as the only aquarium in New York City, and also as part of the largest network of metropolitan wildlife parks in the country.
The New York Aquarium is located on Surf Ave. and West 8th St. in Coney Island. For more information, call 718-265-FISH or visit http://www.nyaquarium.org/.
This event was sponsored by Atlantis Health Plan, Queens Savings Bank and US First Energy (Exclusive Representative of Suez Energy Resources N.A.). Media support was provided by The New York Enterprise Report.
